General Information
Cultural heritage refers to the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes inherited from past generations. It includes tangible heritage (such as historic buildings, monuments, landscapes, and artifacts) and intangible heritage (such as traditions, languages, knowledge, and cultural practices). In impact assessment, cultural heritage is considered for its significance to communities, identity, and historical continuity, and must be protected from adverse effects of development. Impact assessment process can address the identification, assessment, and protection of cultural heritage.
